How brave are you in taking the risk?

I would call myself as a risk taker, and would take risks at reasonable cause, because it is risk taking that would determine whether we would gain big or otherwise. However, I would not take risks if they are just for silly reasons, or if the risks outweigh the benefit that I stand to gain out of it. For example, if someone challenges me to do a stupid stunt that could risk my life and offered to give me $100 as a reward if I could do it, my decision would be that I rather not. I guess we need to be rational in thinking about the consequences of taking risks and ALWAYS weigh out the benefits vs. risk. I still feel it's safest to follow the "Do everything in moderation" rule....

I don't think I am all that brave. I think about all the consequences that could happen and all the good things that could happen. If I think all the risks aren't too bad I'll take it. I mean I have taken some risks, or things that I would consider risks.

I am not brave, either! I always think about all of the bad things that could happen, too! Some things are just to scary to try!

Before marriage i think my risk taking capicity was surely on the heigher side. But after marriage and having children i feel that i have a larger responsibility and dont take undue risk. I do understand that risk taking is necessary for getting good returns so i do take fair risk as far as investments are concerned and am earning decent returns from the stock market.

When I was younger I was a risk taker. I was quite impulsive, and if I had an idea, I tended to jump at it. Once I decided that I would like to live in Eastern Europe for a while, so I found a job through the internet, bought a plane ticket and left my own country. I didn't know anyone in the country where I went, I didn't speak the language and I had never tried that kind of job before. It all went really well and I had a great experience, but I am not sure I would have done it now. After all I found the job through the internet, and I had no way of knowing what it was or if there even was a job. I still like to take a reasonable risk, but I am not nearly as impulsive as I used to be. I think more about the risk versus the consequences than I did before.

I guess I am not a risk taker. I am a very timid person who does not enjoy a ride of roller coaster or whatever dangerous rides. I keep all my decision at safe line.
