Today my niece's little boy, whilst rummaging around in a cupboard as all 2 year olds do,suddenly emerges with something in his hand. His Mother takes it from him and hands it to me.I am surprised to see that it is an old 35mm camera that I had given my niece years ago.Being the nostalgic type, I said that I would go out and buy some film and take pictures the way I did before I went digital.I think that it would be quite some fun to do.Are there any old time camera users here on MyLot.? Lets hear from you,or has everyone gone digital.

I went digital almost 2 years ago now. I find I'm taking more pictures more often too. I also have no idea where my 35mm camera is. But I do know wherever it lies in my house, it's loaded with film, partially used. I really ought to find it and see what's on there one of these days. lol.

Oh, I know there are many benefits to 35mm photography, however, I'm just a point and shoot kind of picture taker... lol.. I can't even call myself a photographer.

"Old time"? You mean film? There are a lot of film cameras still being made and used. sadly, it seems only a matter of time before the age of film is past.

Well ofcourse I love the old film format cameras rather than the latest Digital cameras, though I have been using them quite for sometime I am not that enthusiastic as I use to be while working on the analog cameras, I am still using the Nikon 35mm and Mamiya RBZ 120mm on the official front and Pentax on personal work. I personally hold 2 Pentax 35mm cameras with couple of lenses and 1 Yashica G Mat (120mm), and a Canon Digital SLR with 2 lenses. Afga Geavart foldable camera of early 1900's with bulb flash too.

I don't have one. But I would use one if I did. There is just something romantic about the way the photos come out. Might be nice to have some of those around the house.

I have 2 35mm cameras and 10 digital cameras. While I mostly use my digital cameras, I do pull out the old 35mmers every now and then and shoot a roll of film! I think that both have their advantages and disadvantages. I always like the excitement of taking a photograph and having to wait for it to develop to see what it looks like!
