I don't know wy everyone is so for having a college football playoff. I undersrtand that they say let them decide it on the field, but does that really mean anything? Does anyone honestly believe that the Giants were better than the Patriots or the cowboys, who beat them twice in the regular season, last year? I don't, I just believe they got hot at the right time. I love the college football regular season because it makes every week exciting and I understand that it sucks when your team does lose because then they are more than likely done for the year, but if your team was really that good and lost then they could just as easily lost in the playoffs. Also all those small schools that want to play in the playoffs would get killed by the bigger schools. Let me know what you think.

I believe that college football is really lacking in the playoff sense. The competition could start a week or two after the regular season. Then culminate on the 7th day after New Years Day or whatever day they decide to have the national championship game on. The competio would be fierce and highly competitive in a playoff atmosphere without all the extra 500 bowl games that no one has heard of!

I think the problem is there are teams like Ohio State that had an easy regular season because their conference was horrible and then they get blown out. This year the Big 12 has 2,3, maybe 4 teams that are better than anyone in the Big Ten and Penn State almost snuck in. Florida, Alabama are both very good and play tough schedules against each other also where a team like USC is good but they don't play anyone because their division stinks. Having a playoff would be a more realistic way of seeing who is the best team. It beats letting sports writers and a computer say who determines which two teams only get a chance at it.
