It seems first off that you are assuming anyone who didn't support Obama was supporting McCain. You and a great many in the nation need to break free from the "one or the other" mentality, there were more than 2 candidates running. I supported Chuck Baldwin of the constitution party. Why? Because the republican party has very few true conservatives left in it, Bob barr is way too far off left for me, Nader is as well, Cynthia McKinny is just a loon and Obama represents things that simply do not represent the real america or the constitutional principals we were founded on. This is apparent alone in his view of the roll of the supreme court and that doesn't even begin to touch his view of the roll or limitations of the federal government and disreguard of the 10th amendment. Though there are a number of well informed but ideologicly misguided people in here who did more than swallow the media's spoon fed tid bits and blog propaganda on Obama, a great many people in this country who voted for him have no idea what they just put in the white house or what it realy means for the country. Disagrea if you wish, but I'm convinced most people voted for him simply because of the (D) after his name or because he talked a good game and was inspirational as a speaker, basicly he star struck a great many people in to voting for him and it snowballed, it was a "all your friends are doin it" kind of thing and people have become to lazy to inform themselves, so they just regurgiate the same nonsense talking point krap they hear their friends repeat from other sheep.

Most "3rd" parties don't get the votes because they recieve no attention from the media. This is because most media outlets are pretty much vested in the 2 main parties and stand a lot to lose with out them in power and likewise, the 2 main parties stand a lot to lose if they don't get the 100% attention of the media. So, they inundate the american public with propaganda on a "2 party system". If they reported as much the positions and policies of the other parites, america would overwhelmingly support a lot of these people. I don't think Obama is going to be a "bad" president, but he is far from an American president, he is more a europian styled leader than this nation has ever seen, great if you want to live under european principals, but if thatis the case, then move to europe. and on the issue of "change", how is it we can elect the same 2 parties to office over and over for over a century and call it change?

I think we call it change because this is our FIRST BLACK president. Alot of of other countries have had that claim but this is surley Americas first. thats where we get "Change" From

I think either guy would have been a good president, I just think Obama would be better, and I agreed with him on most issues. I really think that he's also going to do more for the economy. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
