When a friend or a relative, opens his mind,I just listen to them and encourage them to come out with more details.And I never give them suggestions or ideas about how to... I think this earns me more friends to confide with me.

well , you have a good habit . keep it up . However this topic could had a
relevant subject . please note that it is not correct to use your user name
as the topic title here . it could had been similar to " Listening to others " .
