If You Had A Mentor...

Its been said time and again that the best way to get ahead in affiliate/network marketing is to have a good mentor. Someone who has been through the rough times and the learning curve you are going through, to show you the best ways to market your business.
The ideal situation is to have the person that recruited you into the business, no matter what business it may be, to be that mentor. They should know more about the business than you, and know the quirks that will work well with that particular business. Unfortunately that isn't always the case.
That is when you must search for a mentor. Maybe within your organization, or even outside. If you do have to search outside of your organization, the person should be willing to help you, not try to recruit you into their business.
If you were in this situation, what would you look for in a mentor? What qualities would you want a person to have? What questions would you ask a person when looking for a mentor.
I ask because I plan to become a mentor myself to whomever wants to learn about Internet Marketing. I am doing this not only to further myself, but to help those that went through times like I did. Starting and quitting business after business because you don't know what to do isn't fun, and I want to save people from having to do so.
You can read more about what I plan to do on my blog here:

But in the meantime, what would you look for in a mentor?

First of all I really am in need of a mentor. A mentor should be a person who is willing to help me when I ask him about everything I don't know about. A mentor should not leave me struggling, searching on my own information which I do not know at all where to find it and how to find it. It is like leaving a blind man in the middle of a busy street, and taking away his stick from him.
I've gone through many difficulties finding information on how to start an internet business but until now I still couldn't be able to succeed. I don't want a mentor who said you should invest this much of money or else you cannot succeed. I want a mentor who can tell me what steps should I take, each and every one of them.
In internet business it is very important to have all the elements performed because everything is related to each other. For example if I have a blog but I don't know how to increase traffic to it, it would be useless. I can put a lot of contents but still I will not succeed. I must know the correct way and the correct method, tips and secrets.
If you really want to be a mentor, you can select me as your first mentor because I am ready to learn. As long as you don't cheat on me, I am ready to gulp every information you are giving me. You will lose nothing because I can give you the testimony which you really need.
Thanks for starting this discussion. Take care.

Sorry for leaving you hanging for so long. I would love to be your mentor! The reason I haven't been back in touch with you is that I am trying to come up with a template on how to teach others. I expect to have it finalized by the first of the year. I don't call myself an expert, but I do know a lot about getting free traffic to where you want it. Anyway, I am going to add you as a friend, and keep in touch with you for the next month until I unveil my little plan. Maybe you can be the person to test it out, and give me that great testimony you were talking about! Laterz!
