Haha! What I feared has already happened, although it's not that worst...(Ciao)

Ok, so it's a topic that's been posted already. But I pointed this out weeks ago, that Ciao's rate will change. It didn't return to the remuneration earnings only, like in Ciao UK. So I think it's better. 25 cents a review. Nice, right? I am happy about this change though, because there's a sudden burst of Ciao members doing 120-word review just for a quick buck. Sometimes they even resort to plagiarism which totally sucks. I even saw a very good, well-written review that, when I checked the same game in gamespot, saw that exact review. Such a pain. So I hope this 25 cents per review will change everything. Yeah, me and my brother were dismayed a bit, but it's also a good thing for us. We kind of like hate those who plagiarizes and stuff. Through recent events, I came to notice that I'm not doing Ciao anymore for the buck. I have this certain passion for games that I just want to share it to others. And even though it's just mostly games that I do reviews on, I really really love doing it, the words flow easily. Although my reviews sucks most of the time(too much details given or too less details given), I give it my all. What do you think will be the main implication of this change? For one, I think members will leave, and that only the loyal, good ones will be left. And then people will make their reviews better. And that would make Ciao better. So there, what do you think will be the main implication of this change? And one stupid question, do you think Ciao is just trolling us? Heehee. Have a nice day.

I know that this will come and I didn't prepare for this. I didn't wrote too many reviews before it came. But I know I can still request payout because I still managed to reached the payout after this changes. I'm in favor of the rate changes. I think it's unfair for some ciao members who wrote original reviews to other members that posted their plagiarized reviews and still received the same amount. Oh well, I know that they will still be caught by the ciao admin and ban or block their accounts. I can't understand their Premium Fund Program? Got any idea on this? I hope that ciao will be the same as mylot and can be a trusted earning site.

Well, Ciao is a trusted site already. It's been running in the UK for a while now. Thanks for favoring the changes. Yeah, I think it's unfair too, that's why I report people who do this. So far I have one down, more to go. Don't be thinking that I'm a bad man, I know everyone wants and needs money, but if reviews are done with cheating it's the same as stealing right? So the Premium Fund program is for those writers that write exceptional reviews. Why? Well, vote for their review as "exceptional" and they will be nominated in the Premium Fund program. Once there, I don't know, more exceptional reviews? Cheating will be of the thing here, but it's a massive banning when that happens. Everyone may vote for a good review as exceptional, and when that review is a plagiarized stuff, bam! Everyone who voted for is gone as well, I think.(I'm not that harsh, right? Heehee).

Hi. Actually, I was not surprised when this happen. We were already informed about thos matter. But it is still sad to hear that it would take effect already. As I have raed the announcement, eventhough the 1 dollar per review is out, they will be launching a new incentive program which is called teh premium funds. With this if your article or your review has been chosen as one of the best reviews, you will receive some funds in your accoount.

Yeah, that was running in Ciao UK already. With this I wanted to write again for Ciao UK, but then I'm not from UK, so the money will just stay there. With the Christmas season nearing, I need money as well. Heehee. Yeah, it's sad, but it's also good. Have a nice day.

I am supportive of this move to improve the overall quality of the reviews submitted to Ciao. However, I felt that its not fair to reduce the value of my reduce that I have written on the 4th and 5th when the announcement was broadcast on the 6th November and they did mention "With effect from today..."

Oh yeah, I've noticed that as well. It's kind of unfair, they should have made it effective after the 6th.

Well...I have posted an email to Ciao on this matter and had posted the content of this email here for others to view. I would like to see how the management of Ciao respond to this.
