Are PTC sites worth it

Are they really worth it I have been on and on clicking differnt sites and nothing seemed to be happening they are on today off tomorrow . its so fustrating and am at the point of giving up so please if you have any clues as to what to do please do let me know cos am losing hope! Worried Nuel
