I fondly remembr my parents gifting us books on birthdays. Those were big moments when they read out two stories every night be it the Cinderella or Shakespeare. The smell of new books is still as sensuous to me as an editor as it was in the form of a newly held Romeo Juliet book in our tiny hands. A plethora of e-books has arrived with all the iherent advantages. Still, dont you think that holding and savoring the latest arrival and keeping it as a proud possession to display for the posterity is still stuck somewhere as a fantasy? The secret pleasure of exchanging Sidney Sheldon / Mills and boons series is still so fresh in my mind. And when I see my three year daughter riveting in her new nursery rhyme book, I feel eally blessed that the book holding culture is still on, what do our fellow lotters feel?

My husband saw the "Kindle", that Amazon is selling and he just fell in love with it. I was shocked! We both love to read, but the Kindle is not for me. I love the feel of a book in my hands. I believe that a person can tell what kind of person you are just by looking at the kind of books that you have on your shelf. The Kindle takes all that away. I never read a book on the net and I really don'r think that I will. DCMerkle

It is true that the strain on the eyes and cervical becomes more if one has to read an e-novel as compared to the hard back. I really love to read Mills and Boons propped up in lovely soft cushions rather than recline in the hard computer chair, thanks.

Yes, it is really a sweet little confession. I especially miss the bigger font of the books catering to the children books.

Tell the truth , I like reading in books more than read online , I think reading book is more convenient ,you can read it anytime and anywhere . what's the important is that you will not worry about your eyes and your skin .

How true. Thus the overall picture that emerges is that people still prefer to relish the old favor of books and retain their health more as compared to reading the e-books.
