I use Norton antivirus. It costs us $40 for 18 months but I think it's worth it. It scans for viruses, spyware, scans my email (using Outlook), and it has a firewall. It also updates pretty frequently to keep up to date with the new viruses. I have never had a problem with my computer since we have been using it. We have used MANY antivirus software and the only other one that we like is Macafee. I still like Norton best though. It also works the best with the Windows Vista that we have on our computer. They also have an online support.

I also wanted to add that I have never had a problem with Norton slowing down my computer either.

I am using Kaspersky ...till now no virus at all...unless you update the antivirus software regularly....antivirus won't be effective ...so keep updated your antivirus and keep your system free of virus.

can i now what virus it is? and what OS do u use? is it windows/mac/linux? it help me greatly to analyez it for u. so u can get the most step efficiently.. but as a start, why don't u try this way : - get AV(Anti Viruz) like NOD32/eset smart security - unactivated the restore service in windows OS, then install it in safe mode only - after u install it in safe mode, then start to scan it in detailed.... - hope it helps u to catch and get rid of the virus regards,

I have used quite a lot of different antivirus before. Last time I was using AVG, but ever since they introduce a new version, it have been causing a lot of problem to my computer because AVG has blocked many of my ports. After that, I changed to Karpersky, which is very sensitive to virus and make a weird sound when virus is found. I have hard time looking for a free version to keep that antivirus keep going. At last, currently, I am using Avast. So far it seems still acting ok. Frankly, I am quite dislike of antivirus because itself have slow down my computer a lot with all kind of scanning and blocking.
