Perhaps you want to upgrade your CPU, RAM, Sound Card or Graphics Card? Maybe you need new speakers, keyboard or monitor. What will your next purchase be? I need to buy a headset and I am considering the Koss SB-45 model.

My next purchase is Audigy Platinum sound drive and inter-case liquid cooling system. I also will be purchasing a 650 gig external USB drive for backups and probably a new 188 MM fan (one is on the fritz and squeaking up a storm right now).

You're not a gamer and you are going with a liquid cooled system???? Your graphics design work must be intense! You are an overclocker though, right? Perhaps you are also an audiofile who really needs some help from an Audigy Platinum sound too???

AMD chips do tend to give off more heat. I have never had a problem with them as long as some thought towards airflow in the case takes place and cables are neat and tied down. Keeping the case clean is a must, but that can be said for any computer. If nothing else, the liquid cooling system will help the computer remain ultra quite which I suspect would be very important for someone who produces and edits audio.

Actually, it's our Deejaying we do as a side business. We run a digital set up for deejaying gigs. That takes a lot of resources and a lot of power. I also do work with Adobe Audition 1.5 (audio program). I don't over clock my AMD chipset, they are already built to run a little faster than the specs that are listed for them, they also run much more hotter than Intel chipsets do. They require a bit more knowledge of heat syncs and heat issues (in my opinion).

I use 1 x 2GB DDR2 RAM and I won't go back to using anything less. Lots of RAM is good for gaming and resource intense work like graphic design and video editing as ShealM mentioned.

Not a gamer here personally but I have a pair of 1GB (total 2 GB) OzTech ram strips. They have built in heat syncs as well. I need that type of ram for graphic design and large programs that I use (photoshop, audition 1.5, illustrator, ect).

Check out my response to emojboy's comments in post #2. The Tom's Hardware Graphics Card Hierarchy list is good for comparing cards. Good luck with the upgrade.

I am planning to buy an LCD monitor to replace my CRT monitor. I need to replace video card also because seem of the new games right now doesn't run on my current specs. After that my next target is to buy a laptop which it will take time though.

Check out the new Graphics Card hierarchy chart from Tom's Hardware here: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/best-graphics-card,2064-7.html It might help you choose which video card to get when you upgrade. Cheers.

Ouch. that is a painfully low level. I hope that you are running an older OS. Cheers.
