as for me, i think it would work out, if both side will stay in love and honest to each other.it is also an add factor to these relationship if they should stay away from temptation. they should focus their mind only in their partner and not to anyone. they should have a normal coomunication, i mean call your honey for at least once a day or send him or her an email everyday.with these, i think it really work out....

i'm in a long distance relationship right now and we did break up once because having such intense emotions for someone and not being able to show them physically (even just by being around them) is very hard. we are back together but i think the reason we are able to cope with the distance is because we have been planning on moving in together in a few months. so i think the point is that we have a common goal that we are striving for, which makes the distance easier. there's a light at the end to look forward to
