Hi all, is anyone else out there into genealogy/family history ? ... I have enjoyed learning about my family history and finding relatives online, the journey that began for me a few years ago will go on for years. Once you get started it becomes hard to stop the excitement of a new find can keep you up all night. I have managed to find family photos from the early 1900's a picture of the ship that my ancestors came out on in 1856 even a family history book that was written by a different branch of the family. In 2007 I started an msn group Wilson Genealogy Worldwide, it was gaining some interest and momentum until now msn are closing down their groups and we have to migrate. I have not worked out where to go yet, people have suggested yahoo groups. I would like to hear from any other genealogists.

Hi, I do agree that once you start looking up your family history it can be very addictive. It can take up more and more of your time and it's such a good feeling when you find a bit more information that will help you to solve the puzzle. Apart from doing my own research by looking up my family in the censuses I have also found other people online who have researched some of my ancestors which has helped me immensely. I began by just using the free sites in the UK such as Freecen and Free BMD but I am now a member of Ancestry.co.uk (Ancentry.com in the US)and I spend alot of time on there doing my research. I also put my tree on my website and found one of my cousins through it which I was very happy about. I wish you well with your research.
