I got hooked with reading fiction while I was still in elementary...ages ago. Since then I've developed a list of my favorite authors. The top among my list is Robert Ludlum, he writes a loy of exciting, suspenseful, and intriguing novels involving espionage. I also love Tom Clancy after reading The Hunt for REd October. Currently a lot of new authors have been added to the list incliding Clive Cussler for his marine adventures, Iris Johanssen, and Dan Brown. So who are your fave authors?

I love to read, so I have many favorite authors depending on genres. I have to admit I am a big Robert Ludlum fan myself, and my fave among his works would be the Bourne trilogy. Right now, my current addiction is PNR or paranormal romance. In that genre, my favorite authors would include JR Ward, Christine Feehan, Kresley Cole, Naline Singh, Karen Marie Moning, and Laurell K. Hamilton. I'm sure there are more than i can mention if I really think about it.

My affair with (fiction) books started in my third grade when I sneaked off with my mom's romance novel. My fave authors include Dan Drown, Jayne Ann Krentz, Christine Feehan, Tom Clancy, John Grisham, etc.

After i finished my Mom's collection of Barbara Cartland and Mills and Boons, i started reading my Dad's books . . . the Ludlums, Clancy's etc.

i tend to seldom read fiction because i am a huge history fan, but i agree, tom clancy is a very good author. i also like sidney sheldon, fred mustard stewart (he wrote several books that take place around the turn of the century) and danielle steel for that occassional love story.

The four best living authors are without a doubt Wally Lamb, Ian McEwan, Cormac McCarthy and Sue Monk Kidd.

Some of my favorites are Dean Koontz, Jonathan Kellerman, John Saul and Stephen King. This does not mean I have liked every book of theirs I have read, but for the most part, I like them the best.
