I ask this becuase 20 yrs ago today (Nov 11th) I started my very first job. I had gone into the store the evening before and filled out an application, they interviewed me right away and then asked if i could start the next day since we were off school for Veterans Day, i said sure. That was the start of a very long period in my life..lol I worked in that store for about 7 yrs straight, then i met my hubby and went to college, so i quit working there, but when money got tight i would work a few part time hours back at the store. I continued to "work" on and off for them until about 2 yrs ago. So for 18 yrs I was always in touch with those that worked there, even after my full time employment there. The same store mnanger was there all these years, he bascially watched me grow up since i started working there wehn i was 15 ( they didtn check for age proof back then, and i lied and said i was 16) I can tell you a million memories and changes that happened to me and to the store..lol over the years but that would take up many many many hours to type. The store has now closed, just about 3 months ago, and i am not ashamed to say i cried..that place was such a big part of my life, and working there and knowing some of the older people there taught me many valuable lessons in life..i will alwys miss working there. So where were you 20 yrs ago?

please dont think that people will forget your existnce 20 yrs after you pass, that is so not the case. I still remember my grandmother that passed when i was just 6 and she has never been forgotten, as well as many other friends of the family or relatives that passed when i was young,,,,far more than 20 yrs ago. however you are correct that so much changes in 20 yrs.

I can see how you would have been emotional seeing this store close after all these years faln_angel. We gain such wonderful memories from some of the most unexpected places and things. To many people this was just a place to shop; but it was not just you but many other staff and regulars as well that would have all had good memories stemming from there for sure! 20 years ago on this date I would have just finished my second last year of High School. I would have been excited because the two months of Christmas holidays were about to start and I would have been preparing to head to the beach for the whole holidays and come back to my home at the time on Christmas Day only. I was a Surf Lifesaver back then so every free moment I had was spent on a beach! I have many good memories of these times too. Thanks for giving me the chance to reminisce.

20 years ago I was just 7 years old & was in the 1st standard of my school. I think it were my best years, because I had so many friends & we used to play all day long, then after a year we had to shift somewhere else & my playing decreased a lot. Now, at the age of 27 years, I do not play any games at all & don't do any physical exercises. Hope, I go in my life 20 years back again & enjoy it again!!!
