Do you get calf muscle cramp while you are pregnant? How often do you get the cramps? How to you solve the problem? Do you call anyone to help you or you solve it by yourself? I am 6 month pregnant now, and I have the cramps on my calf muscle for 3 times recently, almost 10 days once, while I'm sleeping. I called my husband to help me to straighten my leg, then it helped. But this morning, I wanted to try to solve it by myself, by relaxing my leg, and it worked too. I'm taking calcium pills too, but I still get the cramps. I am not sure if this is normal.

It is normal for a woman to get cramps while pregnant. My relatives and friends have experienced this too. Cramps happen when we have less calcium in our body. Even though you are taking calcium pills but you still have cramps, this is normal don't worry. If you are still worry, you can ask your friend who had pregnancy before and what did she do when she had cramps. By asking around you will notice that many women are having the same problem and you will not feel so worried anymore.

Hi ladysurvivor, Thanks for the advice. Yeah, I like to ask around so that I know I'm not the odd one. Some of my friends told me, after they took calcium pills, they didn't get cramps anymore. But I guess this also depends on individual.

Hiya, I am not pregnant now, but I have experienced this before, I would try to get my husband to help when he could, if he could not, I would take a rolling pin and 'hit him on the head", No just kidding :); if you can reach try to massage yourself with a rolling pin, this worked for me. However, if it does continue and become more than you can handle, seek your Dr's advice.. Good Luck..! Post pics when the baby is born!!!!

Hi nanciem, thanks for the advice. The cramp is not so bad now, I still can handle it in a short time, especially with my husband's help. but I think I'll also consult the doctor on this issue on my next visit too, just see if the doctor has any advice on this.
