Oh man... another one where I am going to not be liked... Do you really think that by going out to vote we are able to make our own choices.. It doesn't work that way and if you think it does you are brainwashed....Just to clarify... I love the country that I live in and no that we are lucky to have the freedoms that we have...however if someone in government wants something done even though the majority of the people do not agree with it he has the power to veto...(no names being mentioned but I guess you can figure it out)

Thanks for your opinion, but we fought hard to become a democracy (ok, not us, but the people before us) and you can't throw that away with the argument of the power to veto. A vote is not just a majority opinion, it is a legal act. Some things we get to vote on, some things we don't. So we should vote on what we can to get the people who represent us best into office. Then, we don't have to worry about veto power when it comes to decisions we don't get to vote on.
I am aware that this is a representative democracy, so things don't always work the way we think they will. But, don't dismiss the right and responsibility to vote because of that.

Sorry, but Bush cannot be elected again because he has been elected to two full terms already. And, the U.S. is not having a presidential election until 2008 anyway.

I probably wont go out to vote. My husband had to use the van and I dont think I will take 6 kid to go do it.. I am not into being very political anyway.

I voted today in the state of Arkansas. What a great country where we can choose our own leadership and vote on issues!
