Kitten exploits!

Last week while I was taking a bath, little Diego was walking around the tub, tried to take a drink and then fell in. Well prior to that, we had a few kitten incidents with water also. First there was the time that I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night, only Nancy decided to jump up on the seat just as I was sitting down. Poor little Nancy went for a swim too! Another night Richard went to take a wizz and one of the little guys jumped up on the toilet. Not sure which kitten it was but this one didn't get a bath, it got a shower! Got any funny kitten exploits that you would care to share?

My mom had a medical problem and had to take a soak in the tub every day for it. One day I came home from work and she called out "who's that?" I replied and she told me to come there and "get this kitten!" It was Suky and she was trying to get into the tub with mom! After mom got out we let her get in and she Suky get in and chase the bubbles around. Suky was never afraid or disliked water, can't say the same about her mother tho, Cat hated water!

It was only chest deep, so she was wading in it. Swimming was what my friend's cat did, she jumped in the tub and swam around. She always liked water. Leila was the name she gave the kitten, I gave her the cat, she lived to some ripe old age too, like 15.

Funny. Mine don't mind getting their feet wet, but that's all.

My sister-in-law was taking a bath with the window slightly open. Suddenly her cat jumped through the window and landed in the bath. I think they were both a bit shocked!

Oh yes, especially if they didn't see it coming!

Jenny told me that the other day she was in the bathroom brushing her teeth and her kitten jumped up on the toilet to get closer to her and fell right in. Another time, we have a large bowl for the dogs water and she was standing by it and leaned in to get a drink and fell right into the bowl.

I love cats and have five of my own. I swear that one of my cats loves water. Ok, maybe not loves but she is always around it lol. If we are in the shower she is perched in between the shower curtains on the side of the bathtub. When we do dishes she is right beside the sink watching every move we make. She also loves to watch when we flush the toilet. As you can imagine this has led to some accidents :) I have watched her fall into the toilet (they were clean lol) at least two times. She has also slipped and fell into the shower more times than I can count. One time I was cleaning my fish tank and was siphoning the water out into a bucket and the lid to the tank fell off the table and scared her. She jumped of the table and right into the bucket full of water. It was hilarious. It took me a whole ten minutes to regain my composure and finish cleaning.

I have three cats plus the three that I'm fostering. Yep they do seem to love water as long as they aren't IN it. PS thanks for visiting my poor lonely discussion. lol
