Does anybody have a Hamilton Beach Brewstation?

I've been wanting one of these for a long time, and my coffeemaker broke so now I have an excuse to get one. I've heard that the original Brewstation tends to leak, so even though they're really cheap now I think I'd go for either the Plus or the Deluxe. The thing is I can't figure out what the difference is between those two. I think the Plus was the second model, they made it bigger to accomodate tall travel mugs. But there are TWO versions of the Plus, one has different settings (dark, light, etc.), but the other doesn't. Then along came the Deluxe, which is the most expensive, but I don't see how it's different than the Plus with the settings. It can be about $20 more so if the Plus with the settings is as good I'd get that. Does anybody have any knowledge of the different varieties of Brewstation?

i have been banned from ever owning a regular coffee maker again. within a couple months of getting a new one i always managed to break the carafe, so now im punished with a stovetop percolator lol! though it does work well. heres what i found on the Plus and the Deluxe... PLUS # One-hand dispensing means no carafe, no pouring, no spills # Coffee stays fresh longer # 2 hour auto shutoff # Programmable clock/timer # Gentle warming heater # No hot plate to scorch coffee flavor # Enclosed brewing system with thermal insulation # Never break another glass carafe (holy crap! i didnt know that!) http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4939246 $46.88 Deluxe # One-hand dispensing — no carafe, no pouring, no spilling # Enough clearance for tall travel mugs # Distinctive new design — stylish stainless steel control panel surrounds a large clock with blue backlight # Ease of use — swivel base for easy water reservoir filling # Features a permanent gold-tone coffee filter, cleaning indicator and water filter with replacement indicator # Coffee tastes fresh longer — virtually eliminates overcooked, scorched-tasting coffee with a separate keep-warm heater that automatically adjusts to the coffee's temperature # 24-hour clock with programmable auto shutoff times (0, 1, 2, 3 or 4 hours) http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4029283 $79.88 dang..too pricey for my wallet im afraid, but that no carafe thing is friggin AWESOME! perhaps Santa will forgive me my past carafe catastrophes and leave my a shiny Plus under the tree!

Oh yeah, no carafe is the whole thing. With the Brewstation you make the coffee and it stays in a holding tank at "optimum temperature". Then it dispenses one cup at a time, sort of like coffee machines in restaurants where you serve yourself. I'm a nutcase for that OPTIMUM temperature. The coffeemaker I've had for about four years was a regular Mr. Coffee but it was unique because it's the only coffeemaker I've ever seen that has a temperature selector for the warming plate. I found that setting it to absolute low prevented the coffee from getting that too-hot scorched taste after an hour. I've tried thermal carafes, but they don't keep it warm enough, and then I bought a little copper plate thing that you put on the warming plate and it's supposed to keep the coffee from that scorching thing. It actually works, after two hours with the copper plate and the setting at low, my coffe held up pretty well on that machine. Then it started leaking and I had to get rid of it. We're using a backup now that's just a plain old coffeemaker with a one hour shut off (as if you can drink all the coffee in an hour!) I think the Brewstation has a four hour shutoff. I'm asking for it for Christmas and I hope it's turns out to be the ideal coffeemaker. I think I'd rather have the Deluxe if we can afford it, since it's the latest. But the Plus would probably be good enough.
