Not Enough Sleep... Or Too Much??

Sometimes it seems like no matter what I do these days I am tired. I am not sure if it's depression, which it may be, or something else. I eat a very nutritious diet with plenty of veggies and fiber, and I am somewhat active, walking a few miles with my boyfriend several times a week. If I am feeling tired, sometimes I will go to sleep a bit earlier than usual, perhaps and hour or two ahead of normal schedule. The next day I expect I would feel refreshed, but I feel tired and sluggish. My normal amount of sleep is about 6-7 hours, and I usually feel pretty good with that much. More or less than that general amount usually makes me feel sleepy all day the next day! How about you?

Usually 6 hours of sleep is enough for me. If you're feeling sluggish, you may want to check to make sure your iron levels are good. Just go try to donate blood somewhere and they'll tell you. If your iron is too low, take an iron suppliment with vitamin C. Don't take calcium at the same time though, calcium neutralized iron. Happy MyLotting!

I was pretty average I guess, but since the dweath of my partner last year I've had the ocasional really long sleep, like 12 or 13 hours ! I think with me it was just emontional exaustion and everything catching up with me.Recently I've got better, I guessa long sleep now is probaby 8 or 9 hours.

I need very little amount of sleep.A " good" night sleep for me is 5 hours. I have a great , energetic day with 3 hours of sleep.When I am ill, I will get more sleep, like 7-9 hours. The only time I woke up and felt tired was when I slept for 12 hours. I was fighting a cold. You eat well and exercise? Do you take vitamins?Before trying to change anything, either talk to a nutritionist or your doctor. See if you need more of a vitamin to give you so more energy.

for me it's not about the amount of sleep that i get but the quality of my sleep which determines my stamina during the day.. I've experienced sleeping for almost 10 hours.. when i woke up, my whole body felt weak and heavy and i had a headache.. That's on a normal basis- no drinking, early sleeper.. I've also experienced sleeping for less than 3 hours but upon waking up, i felt refreshed..

it could be depression.. i know i am bipolar and i also have fibromyalgia which comes with fatigue so im always tired and never feel really rested.. my mom says if you sleep too much it will make you feel worse and if you dont then of course you will.. i dont think i will ever find the happy medium.. if it is depression medication for it might help you get more restful sleep

Not enough... It doesn't matter how tired I am...I can never sleep and am up until the wee hours of the morning.

you should go and tell your doctor he might do a complete blood work and see what the problem might be

Make sure that you try to sleep an extra hour. If possible take a break from work and go for a weekend break somewhere nice. If you are still depressed and feeling fatigues I would consult my general practitioner. Sometimes I have your same feeling. Right now I need to sleep extra hours because I do fell very tired. © ronaldinu 2008

Basically I found out that I have hypertension so usually I feel sleepy or drowsy. So what my fiancee do she usually wake me up. I' am taking garlic oil capsule just for me to regulate my blood pressure. Well I don't have a problems with sleeping or making me sleep. My problem is making me awake especially when I'm on work and doing my research works. So usually my fiancee always remind me to do alot of walking and do other excercises just for me not feel this way. Too much sleep is also bad hahaha! Anyway have a nice day!

Hi Bethany: You just sleep about 6-7 hours a day? I sleep about 8 hours(7 hrs at night and 1hr at noon ) a day but i even feel sleepy and tired .Am I sleeped too much as what you said or something else. what should i do with the problem ? I need you suggestion .

Good to hear that from you that you have at least 6 to 7 hours of sleep. With me, after working, I still work at home, amd this is actually with mylot and other sites. So, sometimes I can only sleep around 4 to 5 hours in a day. I really have to strive hard, for me, for my family and for my love ones. Have a nice day!!
