Hey Amorita, When you ask of 'unwed mother's'...Are you asking of solo Mums or Mums who have a family, but are not married to the Father of her children?...We unwed Mother's do quite fine!...Why would you think, it is different to married couple's, who have a family?...We have the same 'trial and tribulations' as other families and we also form bonds, like a married couple does, with their children...A family is a family, reguardless as to whether there is a Dad, a Mum or children...There are alot of families out there, that share close bonds and they are solo or in an unmarried relationship...I grew up in a solo parent household and it did us no harm...My siblings and I share a very close bond and thats all due to our Mama, who kept us all together...Happy MyLotting

It really depends on the situation. Certain reasons may be the cause of breaking up of the whole family. Closeness may have existed in the first place but then something went wrong and the consequence is quite inevitable.

I'm not sure I understand the question. I do volunteer work for a home for unwed mothers and their backgrounds as vary widely. Some come from unfunctional family that never provided much stability but many come, in my community, from tight knit, close, church going families able to provide all needs for their children. I dont' think you can pigeon hole unwed mothers..... circustances vary widely.

Unwed mothers come from all sorts of families. Example, the daughter of Senator Palin...shes a senator she was running to be vice president...so this shows that unwed mothers can come from any type of family...rich, poor, loving, hateful..you name it.

There is no real criteria. I know of many unwed mothers look at Jamie Lynn Spears she comes from a rich family that is close. It depends on how you think, not your family.

Many different unmarried women have many different types of family's just like many married women have different types of families. Wether a woman is married or not has nothing to do with the closeness of her family. She can love, bond, and interact with them the same as a married woman does if not more because she may try to compensate for there being an absent parent.
