My father went fishing last weekend and dropped his phone in the water. Of course it wouldn't turn on. So, he went and bought a new cell phone. He was angry because he had to pay so much for the new phone. He was also aggravated because all his numbers, songs, and pictures in the other phone. Let me tell you a little something about my dad, he loves to take things apart and fix them. Well, my dad decided to dry his old cell phone in the microwave. Yes, you heard correctly in the microwave. And he didn't blow it up! The funny thing is that his cell phone is now working. He didn't loose anything, he has all his numbers, pics. and so on. It's bad enough I have to keep an eye on my kids, now i haveto keep an eye on my father.

Lucky you, though the phone is working, the microwave didnot explode. It is easy to dry up a wet cell phone. Remove the parts and keep them on top of your TV or fridge for some time, if you dont get that much of sunrays in your area. Keeping the phone in microwave..... I just cant imagine. Yes you are right, keep an eye on your father too just like you keep an eye on your kids.

Hi there Vaninsua! Oh my! It's great that it didn't explode or something. And it's even better that he got the phone to work.

Its so funny. But it is not correct. If we place our cellphone in microwave to dry the battery will be leaked. Some times it may cause dangerous. Don't try these type of things once again. I think you keep your eye on your father. Happy to sharing. Happy myLotting.

He definitely needs to buy a new one. I remember when I bought our cordless phone in the bathroom because I was waiting for my boyfriend's call. It was late at night and I don't want to wake other people up when our phone rings. I was about to take a bath when our cordless phone dropped in the pail of water. I was so shocked and immediately picked it up. Unfortunately, it did not work anymore. I was so afraid because my dad might find out what happened. I just put it back on the base phone and pretended that nothing happened.
