I have to have my cell phone with me 24/7 - it is part of my job requirement as a property manager so that the owners, residents or security can contact me in an emergency. As I was in line in the bank this morning, I was thinking about all the other numbers apart from owners and family and friends that I had on my phone. I have everything. I have my credit card number and all my bank account numbers, my daughter's and two sons bank account numbers. I have the account number for the electricity and water companies and the account number of my cable company. I was wondering what extra numbers do you store on your phones?

Well I'm glad that as a property manager of your residences, you are always on-call 24/7! I know some property managers, that if a problem arises outside of the usual 9am-5pm block, they don't answer, and just say call back tomorrow morning. Anyway, I keep the phone numbers to a taxi cab service, my phone provider's customer service number, the security to the building where I work, and other essentials. My bank's phone number, etc. But I don't keep account numbers in my phone - what if it gets stolen? I know my bank numbers by heart, and if I ever need another type of account number, whether it be for my cell phone, or whatever, I just pull my records that I have in my file cabinet at home.

Hi dxfanatic69, If I said to anyone that they should call back tomorrow then I wouldn't have a job. I I also have a part time job so need all my numbers. I don't put them under the name of a bank for example. I use a code to identify a bank account number or something. I wish that I could remmeber hem Thank you for your response.

Hi princesskitten, Thank you for responding. You are probably one of those people with a fantastic! I need to have my numbers with me so that I can pay bills by phone or do other transactions. Do you keep a diary or book with these important numbers written down?

That sounds like an identity theft waiting to happen! Are you sure you should be carrying all that info around with you? I actually don't use a cell phone. We have a trac phone that we load with minutes when needed. It if basically for emergencies only. I only have a few numbers on it.

Do you know that as I was replying to you my mouse froze and then the computer screen shook as if it ws having a nervous breakdown! I lost my response. anyway, here I am again Rocket. Fortunately we don't have any cases as identity theft where I live so I am o.k for the moment. If we became that sophisticated then I would stop doing this. I carry my 'office' in my car and it really helps to get these jobs done whilst waiting in line somewhere. Thank yoku for your response rocket.

weird this is a discussion because i ran out last night and left my cell in the car and my boyfriend took it to work today and ive been phoneless all day, its such a weird feeling to not be able to hear others voices when i want. as for numbers i would never store important ones because in a year period i have gone through about 6 phones now because they were stolen or broken.

I have never had a phone stolen. If they are broken, I just put in my old sim card which has all the numbers on it. I know how you feel though. The other night I left my phone at work and then my son had borrowed my car. I was so worried that some owner was trying to get hold of me. Then a friend who lives not too far awy came by my home about 9 p.m. as my daughter couldn't get hold of me and called her to check if I was o.k.! I no longer have a land line at home. Thanks you for reesponding
