At one time I liked to play chess. My sister taught me how to play chess when I was young. In high school I was in the chess club (nerd). I played in a few tournaments (nerd). When I was in the military I participated in chess tournaments (nerd). After that I was totally burnt out. I don't play chess anymore. I don't like to compete. Maybe I might play chess with family members. Besides being a game of strategy, it's a mind game, being able to psyche your opponent.

Yes, I do like to play chess a lot. I might not be very good but I can beat a lot of my friends. My dad taught me how to play and it is really a mental game unlike other games like checkers. I sometimes play with time controls and have played in a couple of tournaments.

same here, i love playing chess. the opportunity to creaty beauty and outwit the other player attracts me most to play chess. i come from a chess-playing family. the game is our pasttime and it is what unifies and ties us together during gathering and parties. i think i am an average player able to beat anyone except the professional players.

i like playing chess... I used to play it all the time and really loved playing it back in school... me and my friend matt would play it on the computer after we were gone with our school work... I was pretty good too... not sure how i would play now lol probably not so good.. but i would still enjoy playing it and i sometimes (rarely) but sometimes play it online still.. its a good game to play and its fun to past the time... and you can play anyone from anywhere in the world...which is cool.. see how much better or worse you are then from someone from a another country. and it took a me a while to learn how to play but once i did it its great

No I don't because I don't know the tricks and strategies they play in chess. I always lose the game and people tease because I am easily deceived by their moves. We have a P.E subject back in college and chess was one of our board games. I wanted to quit, honestly, that subject because I felt I was the only one who don't know how to win. ^^,
