How does mylot earn money?

I have join mylot for about 4 days now and am quite happy with posting new discussion and responding to topics of my interest. I'm just curios as to how mylot earn money because if mylot keep paying us, the money have to come from somewhere.... So far i don't see any advertising, which is one of the more comman way for websites to earn money... Well, anyone can enlighten me on this? Thanks.
