Would You Run For Political Office?

At some point in my life, I do believe that I will run for office. People complain about politics and politicians, but the truth with changing anything is that change will only come when new people effectively take action to make a change. If you want to change something, get involved in whatever it is and initiate change. ------------------------------------------------------- So would you run for office? Local, state, national? All three? Would you run as Republican, Democrat, or Independent? Why? (Let's not bash each other's views, just answer the question for yourself and let's see what people think)

I probably will at some point, even if it's just a local office. There are many issues out there that I feel aren't being addressed.

Sounds great. That is my point as well. There are a lot of things that need change, so rather than complain maybe I can help make the change I want.

I do not think I would like to run for public office because politicians, like many celebrities, enjoy basically no privacy whatsoever. If it is a particularly high-profile office, that loss can be permanent. I spent a summer working for a former US President who couldn't even go to the bathroom without Secret Service agents stationed outside the door. No thanks!
