Needing some directions

I have a couple of folks that have come up on my accept/deny friendship area. But only the deny feature is available. This happened before, and I didn't know about the feature, till it was too late. I hated it that I missed an opportunity to accept some new friends. How can I find them and click on 'their' area that says I want to join their circle of friends? Thanks C.C.
