When the pizza is baked from the oven, how long do you wait to slice the pizza ?

I usually wait about 10 minutes because i find it easier when it is still a little warm, but not Melty, though i may try 15 minutes like you said that you do.

I like to wait 10-15 minutes to give it time to cool and the flavors to mingle and set together. I also don't want to end up burning my mouth. [b]~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**[/b]

i also do wait for the cheese to cool but i find cutting a bit warm pizza is better and easier than a absolutely cooled down one. happy mylotting.

It is better to wait for a few minutes to cut the pizza in slices, otherwise the mozzarella gets tangled to the knife as you said. I just leave it for about five minutes HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR. © ronaldinu 2008

hi cream97, my dear friend, i love to eat pizzas but i dont bake them at home i prefer to got out and then order it there . i remember once we have made it at home . i didn't enjoyed it that much. when we aqre out its the boy who cuts it into pieces. i just love to sit and eat with a nice big chilled coke.

i did cut it 5 minutes. sometimes if i baked small ones we cut it on the table and eat right away.if pizza no minutes to wait to cut its just yummy.

I would say about 5 or 10 minutes..since like you..it's easier to slice when the cheese is not all gooey and clinging to the knife..I don't want it ice cold either..since dough gets harder as it chills.

I like to eat the pizza when it is fresh out of the oven. Therefore, I will start to cut it as soon as I take it out. This conversation is making me very hungry. Pizza is one of my favorite foods. I usually have a pizza cutter handy to slice it up. Then I will put it on my plate. If it is too hot to eat, I will cut it into bite size pieces. That makes it cool off a little faster, or at least it seems like it. What is your favorite pizza? My favorite is pepperoni and extra cheese. I usually wait like 5mins to cut mine. I don't use a knife either I have a pizza cutter I use...But If I'm really hungry then i'll slice it right away. I love pizza one of my fav foods!

I think we only wait about 10 mins. usually by the time the pizzas done I'm hungry and I can't wait too long to eat it..lol

I will slice the pizza immediately after I take it our from the oven then serve it hot. Hubby do not like to eat a cold pizza so, I will not wait another 15 minutes before i will slice it a and serve it.

I usually take it out of the oven. Wait 2 or 3 minutes and start cutting it because I can't longer. I am usually really hungry so I don't mind that the Pizza is still a little hot. I have burned my tongue with the hot cheese once or twice but I like it. Its better than a 1 day old pizza that has already become hard.

living in italy pizza is a staple, the oven baked ones rock and i usually wait like 10 min not more

Hello cream. I have never baked pizza in the house, but I have been to our local pizza shop for some times. That was years ago when the Champion Pizza shop was still there. Not it is gone as it is hard for the shop to go on with its business in our local town. But I did enjoy a lot of the pizza in the shop. We used to slice our 12-inch pizza when it was served to us on the table. There is one thing I don't like about pizza, which is the salty taste. It is too salty. I have no idea whether it is salty to all the pizzas in some other pizza shops in another city. Take care, friend.

Well, its basically 5 to 10 minutes for me. You are right, if we sliced it right away its a little bit difficult considering that it is somewhat sticky.

Hey Hey cream Sometiems if i make a homemade pizza it looks so good that as soon as it comes outta the oven i have to pick at it LOL. Usually it does need time to cool off because cutting is so hard and the cheese and all the toppings will just fall off and then ya have such a big mess . I will try and wait a good 10 mins.

Hmmm, I never really thought about that. I usually use my Pizzazz pizza maker. But, when I do use the oven, I usually slice it right away. I guess because I'm ready to eat it LOL. It probably would be better to wait so it's not so gooey. LOL

I only wait a few minutes.
