Is it true that while men are trying to sober up, women are drinking more?

At a age when men are sobering up after drinking a decade of youthful axcess, women are drinking evan larger glasses of wine. It is proven that women are less able to motabolose alcohol and suffer greater damamge to their health than men after drinking simlar amounts. A survey suggest that while men peak the alcohol intake around the age of 29 women tend to drink more as they reach middle age. What is your experience with alcohol as you grow older and wiser?
