What is this Washer Dryer?

I was just looking online at washers and dryers, and I see that there is something called a washer dryer? What is this washer dryer? Is this something new or am I just behind the times? I guess I am going to have to do a little more research and try to see if this actually washes and dries your clothes. If so, this has to be huge! Does anyone have one? I would like one! What about you?

Its one machine that provides both functions. No the size is not all that different, considering you eliminate one machine all together. LG is one of the brands that I saw.
