go to u r task manager and kill some process that r running for the sake of it and doesnt help while computer is running if u want to upgrade try upgrading the ram

what are the hardwares and softwares installed? how long have you used the computer since the operating system was installed? do you go online? do you use floppy or flash disks or other devices to save files on your computer? there are many reasons why a system slows down - clogged hard disk, virus, insufficient memory, so on and so forth. we should identify first the cause of the problem.
