If somebody asks you whether you are eating healthy food everyday what will be your answer? If someone asks me, my answer will be I eat 70% healthy food like veggies, salad, fruits, water, milk etc and 30% junk like Cheetos (one of my favorite snack) butter cookies, chocolates etc.

I eat a lot of canned vegetables and canned salmon, broccoli is my main fresh vegetable and I eat some fruit every day. My most eaten main course is canned salmon. But I eat way too much junk food, mainly milk chocolate. So for meals I eat quite healthy but snacks are another matter.

We try to eliminate as many processed foods as possible. All of the fruit and amost all the veggies we eat are organic, as is the milk and half & half we drink (yes, even our coffee is organic & free-trade) We now read labels on the food products we buy and if there are ingredients listed that we can't pronounce, or contain MSG, trans fats , etc. we will not buy them. I know we are healthier for eating this way. In previous years, when our sons began school and were in indoor contact with children that were sick with colds or flu, it would go from person to person in our family. This year, despite our sons friend's family being sick, we haven't had more than a cold that lasted less than one day. We drinl lots of purified water, take vitamins and eat healthy. It really does make a difference!
