Do you agree with how the mvp is chosen in sports?

I personaly think the mvp should be the best offensive player for the entire season in any sport. Maybe it's a little different in football because the guy who plays offense doesn't play deffense. Many argue that no player should win an mvp award if his team doesn't win or make it to the playoffs. Albert Puljos won the mvp in baseball this year even though his team didn't make the playoffs. I think it was the right choice because he had a better batting avaerage than Ryan howard who's team won the world series, who led the league in homeruns, but had a very low batting average. I think the mvp should be the best overall player of the league during the season. It shouldn't matter if his or her team makes the post season.

I think of the MVP as the player, offensive or defensive, who helped his team the most. If you took him off the team, his team wouldn't have won as many games as they did. That's why I agree with both Albert and Dusty being named MVP.
