I am wearing lipgloss by Mary Kay. Its yummy and gentle on my lips. I used various brands before but I was not as satisfied as what I am using now. Some ligloss that I have tried leaves cracks on my lips and I know that ain't healthy. Had you experienced that? Do you have brands to recommend that is also good and healthy?...

I guess the really cheap brands especially the ones from China aren't healthy for your lips. I don't want to come off as racist, but some "fake" products from China are really poor quality! It only looks nice but once you use it, it'll be bad for your skin or hair or whatever. Of course, sometimes, they manufacture cheap and quality goods as well. My only recommendation for you is to stick with brands that are well known. Big companies usually invest in research and development so their products, though a bit more expensive, will be safer and more effective.

Yes, absolutely. In my case, I don't compromise the safety of my body to money, that is absolutely a rule that I impose for myself..

If you really think about it you ingest your lipgloss or lipstick when eat, drin, or lick your lips. Tarte, a great make-up line, joined with Borba, a skincare line that believes beauty is inside out and makes supplements, have created a vitamin infused lipgloss that is beneficial to you. I try using companies that are somewhat natural based and avoid using harsh chemicals. There use to be red lipsticks on the market that had traces of lead and since they were small amounts the FDA decided it was ok for them to be on the shelves.
