What kind of pasta sauce do you use to top your pasta? Do you use a homemade sauce or a store bought sauce? Do you prefer a simple tomato sauce? Or do you prefer something a little different like a pesto sauce or an alfredo sauce? Also, if you buy your sauce what brand do you prefer?

i ate store bought sauce when i was growing up because thats what my parents bought and i liked it for the most part. But one day a couple years ago when i was living by myself i made up my own tomato based sauce and added all the spices i liked. I spiced it up with some diced jalapenos and red peppers. Ever since then i cant stand store bought sauce, i have to make it myself.

That's exactly the same as me. Since I've been making my own sauce I can't stand the saltiness and unnatural tastes that you get in most shop-bought pasta sauces. The only one I occasionally buy is pesto sauce, which is a really simple sauce that even in pre-prepared jars only contains basic, natural ingredients, (basil, pine nuts, garlic, olive oil and a bit of salt/pepper).

My family is half Italian so they would surely kick me out of the family if I bought pasta sauce. Homemade sauce is delicious and you can add whatever flavors your in the mood for. Although I have ventured out once and tried Prego. It is a pretty good version. Not as good as grandma's homemade sauce recipe but definitely close.

I love thick marinara sauce with lots of garlic and herbs. I almost always make it from scratch.

I use store bought. The brand we use is Ragu Super Chunky Mushroom. We scramble up some hamburger meat and mix in the sauce, and sometimes we fry up more mushrooms and add in there as well. I also like the Alfredo Sauce. I've never tried a homeade sauce. Maybe I will try it sometime but I hear it is alot of work.

Usually store bought with (or I add to a basic store bought)big chunks of tomatoes, green pepper, onion, and lots of mushrooms. YUM!

it's always been Del Monte italian spaghetti sauce or sweet style for me. when we cook our sauce, we mix it with banana ketchup, nestle all purpose cream and condensed milk to make it thicker and richer and tastier. whatever brand of spaghetti sauce you use, i think it doesn't matter. it's always how good you cook it.

I always like to experiment on my pasta and sauce. I mix different spices, herbs, even some meat and vegies. Well, you can always do that provided you be aware of the outcome and make sure you eat whatever comes out of your pasta and sauce experiment...hehe

My favorite kind of pasta sauce is a thick and rich tomato sauce with spices and various kinds of vegetables in it. Often I use the canned Hunt's sauce and thicken it up with tomato paste so it's the consistency that I like. Then I add spices and meat...very good.

depends on my mood as to whether its home-made or shop-bought. I personally prefer a tomato-based sauce with some herbs and mushrooms *yum*
