Do you keep your money at home or...?

Some people don't like to deposit money in the bank and keep their money at home. I know of one who has been using the bank for years but when he found out that his girlfriend who works in the bank was trying to check on his account, he stopped depositing his money in the bank and bought a safe to use at home instead. I also know someone who died because of money he keeps at home. What happened was that the man had a drinking spree with his friends and he bragged about a substantial amount that he kept at home to his friends when he was drank. After a few days he was robbed and killed by the robbers. That was the sad part of it. I only keep just enough for my needs. Although I don't have enough earning to be able to save much in the bank, I always keep a savings account so that whatever amount I don't spend is kept there. A lot of people nowadays do not trust banks and they prefer a safe in the house.

Best would still depositing it in the bank. You get interest rates per year and other than that, you get to save more money because this is more of forced saving of you hard-earned cash. I only have enough cash in my wallet for my daily allowance for my daily transportation to work from home and vice versa. I also have a coin bank which I put some 5-peso coin/s everyday.

I don't like to keep too much money at home, as I think it's quite dangerous. I usually keep my money in the bank, and withdraw a certain small amount of money that's enough for my one or two week expenses. I usually use my credit card to pay, so that I don't need to carry much cash with me too.
