So you are retired! - I hate it when the government says that they are considering delaying our retirement age from sixty to sixty-five. so bad. I hate it
Hello sunny. Thank you so much for the topic. Speaking of retirement, it was a hot topic few months back in China. Frankly speaking, I hate it when the government plans to delay our retirement age in China. I think that it is too bad as 65 is not a good age for retirement. I still prefer 60. I am wondering why they want to change it when we have been used to the retirement age in China. I want to retire earlier to enjoy the rest of my life in the state of relaxation without still having to work that hard to make money for life. I think that I will have to work even harder and save more money to support my life and my family for them to live a better life. Also if we have to work that old, then it will be more difficult for the youngsters to find a job because of the aged of more than sixty in our country due to our large population. I think that it is a bad idea for the government to work out such an unwelcome plan and idea because most of us don't like it at all. Only those who are government officials and employers like it because the longer they work, the more benefit they will get from the government. Also ours is not a developed country, but a developing one. Even in some of the western countries, people don't have to work to 65 years of age before they can get their pension. I think that the government needs to think about this and face the problem. I am strongly opposed to this this delay of retirement till 65, a bad idea.

You took the words out of my mouth. If the overnment officals like to work older, let them go, why let us be long-suffering? I hope the policy won't be executed. I hope we can retire at 50-55.

I agree it should be a decade earlier.. To me it should be around 50-55... Retirement is the time you can relax and perhaps look up to do small things which you never had time to do.. After 65 there would hardly be any time for anyone to actually enjoy.. You end up asking for support.. Whereas im 50's you may not need support and might be able to enjoy a bit more..

I think 65 is too old to have to work til, with so much unemployment I think it should go the other way, I have known people who retire and don't live long after I think it is sad that people have to wait so long to have time to really enjoy life..

I think retirement at the age of 65 is too late, as I'd like to enjoy my life after working for so many years. It may be good for some people, as after retirement, they have nothing to do, then they will find it really boring by just staying at home. My uncle worked until he is 70, and after retired at the age of 70, he found his life so boring and he has nothing to do. Perhaps you can apply for early retirement when you think you've worked enough. ^_^

HI,sunny~YES,i heard about this new proposal, but i don't think it will be implemented in the near future . abousily it is unreasonable and we can not accept this new policy.the first and the most important reason is that it means we must work 5 more years then natrually the time we spend to enjoy our life after retire is less than before.which may make some imbalance between what we paid and the return. OH,i must leave for attending class now. so i must stop, but contiune tonight.

O(n_n)O seems the latest political news astonished you to some extent ,however as i am concerned ,i think it undeserving to draw a rash conclusion about whether or not a good policy. so far a good number of retired people spontaneously begin to search for the opportunities to be re-employed.how come ? perhaps they 'd love to keep on persuing the glorious setting sun,to fulfil his remaining dreams.

I Know what you mean. But the people who begin to search for the opportunities to be re-employed ,It's by their will not forced by the policy.
