I think both ways will help you earn money from selling your toys. But I think it would be more effective for you to consider selling your items through e-bay. Why? Because the possibility of you selling your items at higher prices is always there. If you sell them privately, or through garage sales, you'll be setting the prices for your items and the very first person willing to pay for it get the item. Whereas if you put them in e-bay, you give every possible buyers equal opportunity to bid for your item, the highest bidder obviously wins.
