Hey obroc17! Well, what i recommend as an anti-virus software is: Kaspersky: i have it as trial, and i find it very good actually. Nod32 Avira Avast CA anti-virus: those softwares i heard about their efficiency but never had the chance to try them. McAfee: Didn't have any problems when i used it.it worked fine. Avg: very good.also didn't have any problems when i used it.And It's FREE! But i don't recommend the syamtec Norton anti-virus, i hadn't much luck with it. Hope it helps happy mylotting

i prefer Kaspersky. Right now my i'm using kaspersky internet security and its really great because it can detect worms and viruses that my previous anti virus miss out. i had once borrowed my friend USB pen drive, he said that he had scan it and neutralized all the threat using AVG antivirus but when i scan it using kaspersky i found 6 viruses and worms in it. i guess a free anti virus software can seldom beat an anti virus software that has a price on it. But if its about free anti virus software i would choose either AVG, Avira or Avast which i've already used before i got kaspersky.

I would recommend BitDefender to anyone. Its a really good antivirus with a good price tag on it. The signatures are also updated on hourly basis and offer the best protection of all antivirus in the market.
