Hey everyone I recently found out that my three year old son is autistic. We knew that he had some problems from the begining. He's speech was very far behind and he had some of the odd stereo type tendencies they say autistic children have. He was receiving therapy through first steps (which are amazing completely recommend them)till he turned three. He isn't getting any therapy right now and I have him on the waiting list for a couple of centers to start receiving therapy again. I just don't know what to do in the mean time. His former speech therapist still calls to check in and gives me suggestions on things i can do to help him with his speech, but it's his sensory issues that he's really having a hard time with. If you could give me any tips I would really really apreciate it. I love him with all my heart but i'm with him 24/7 and even though it's not his fault he's driving me crazy. Thank you in advance

Hey I understand what your going thru my daughter has mental retardation. I also have 3 cousins diagnosed with autism. I would suggest you contact the public school in your area to see if they might have any programs for him or know of any more that you've might not heard of. good luck!!
