The dark tower is a series of seven novels that explain the trip of Roland looking for a misterious building known as the dark tower. It is composed of the following titles: 1. The Gunslinger 2. The Drawing of the Three 3. The Waste Lands 4. Wizard and Glass 5. Wolves of the Calla 6. Susannah´s Song 7. The Dark Tower And here is my question, which of these books is your favourite (and why, of course). Mine is Wizard And Glass because is a novel full of action and pure love and you don´t have to wait several years to complete it. I mean you can know everything about the relationship between Roland and Susan (from the beginning to the end) in a single book.

That one is not bad either. I enjoy a lot with the character of Deta Holmes/Oddeta Walker and her mental disorder. maybe schizophrenia?

I don´t want to spoil the book for you. "She is not going to be a good enough companion in their journey". Just keep reading the books. She is not my favourite character of the dark tower series but she is not bad. Just my opinion, ;)

well to be honest that was the one part of the book I didnt like thou its a big part... I just think no matter how good she is at shooting she is still not going to be a good enough companion in their journey being disabled I just don't find it reasonable and somewhat annoying....yep multiple personality disorder or what do you call it?

The Waste Lands, I remember. Jake´s paradox was an interesting storyline. Tick-Tock Man is definitely a typical Stephen King character. This book liked me because it provide a solid base to the dark tower mythology. Twelve Portals, Twelve Guardians and so on. But the ending is very bad. Thanks for the reply.

Its been a while since i have read the Dark Tower series so i really can't say. I enjoyed all of them and would not be able to pick a favourite as i found them all very good. But then again i am a big Stephen King fan and have enjoyed most of his novels.

I have only read the first 5 books in the series, but I really enjoyed "Wizard and Glass." I loved the backstory about Roland and his posse and their adventures as youths. I found that this story gave a lot of insight into the character of Roland and how he became the character we all love in the other stories. I also really enjoyed "Wolves Of the Calla" as I thought the story was well developed and it was very suspenseful. I actually found myself sitting literally on "the edge of my seat" at points in the story. That's powerful writing.

Wolves of the Calla is a great book too despite I didn´t enjoy so much Jake´s "subplot". Thanks for the reply.
