Do you use your phone as an alarm clock?

There are only three things that I NEED from my phone: to send SMS, to send/receive calls, and to wake me up in the morning. I realized the third one when I left my phone in the office yesterday. I didn't mind being unreachable for a day, but I couldn't figure out how I'll be able to wake up on time! I had to borrow my boyfriend's ipod (some expensive alarm clock, wouldn't you agree?)

I don't particularly use it since I sleep in anyway, which allows me to a certain extent because my schedule allows me to do so since my classes are mostly in the afternoon. But my brother uses his cellphone as an alarm clock and you'd have to be completely knocked out not to be able to wake up to that annoying default ringtone, which is really high-pitched and loud.

annoying indeed! my brother is exactly the same. I can't figure out how they CAN'T wake up after a couple of times of ringing haha

I used to but I got used to it that I can sleep through it even when it's sounding the alarm at max volume already. Good thing though I have taught myself to wake up at a certain time of the day always.

I hope no body else woke up when you had your max-volumed-alarm x__x I found it annoying when my ex-housemates would snooze for an hour. But your new found feat is cool! I only usually wake up on the first ring of the alarm, but that's good enough for me :)

Yeah I actually do. My cellphone is my phone, alarm clock, and my watch. Oh yeah, my digicam sometimes too. My husband has an alarm clock and it's so loud. I like my cellphone more.

I agree with you, those are the 3 basic things that I do with my cellphone as well. As soon as I had my cellphone, I gave my alarm clock to my father because I use my cellphone's alarm to wake me up everyday. Yeah, your alarm clock is quite expensive huh? How I wish that I have the same alarm clock.

Well it isn't really mine haha I gave it back the very next day. There's no way I'm keeping it with me long or I might scratch it...or die of paranoia that I might :D

I use my cell phone AND a regular clock alarm. This decreases the chance that I will oversleep.

cool! as long as you're the only one who gets up to turn them both off right?

It is just me, but I set my cell phone alarm earlier than my regular clock alarm, so my cell phone alarm goes off and then I get up and turn my regular alarm off before it goes off.

Yeah, I use my cellphone as an alarm clock too. After I have a cellphone, I don't need to buy alarm clock anymore. The alarm function has become more and more advanced in the latest cellphone technology. I can't imagine how I am going to wake up in the morning if my cellphone is spoiled.

i do, whenever i'm not sleeping at home or whenever my mom is not around. if not i'll just get my mom to wake me up- it's more effective that way haha!

I use my mine as a reminder mostly to let me know when the bus is due so i can be at the bus stop in time to get them on/off the bus. My husband uses his as an alarm clock to get up in morning.

Well, I do also use my cell phone as an alarm clock. I have to wake up at 4 am everyday to prepare breakfast and packed lunch for my kids. I don't have an alarm clock so I use the alarm on my cell. LOL. HUGZ always!

I do tend to use my phone as an alarm clock. Its my only means of waking me up seeing that I don't have any other thing to wake me up.

I always use my cellphone as a alarm clock, I have 2 cellphones and both of them have the alarm clock set from Monday to Friday and sometimes on Saturday too. I also use other methods to get up early in the morning, for example I set my computer to play a disturbing song at the morning at some time, or turn on the tv very early so the noise won't let me sleep again.

yes, i do use it as an alarm clock:) But my flaw would be when the phone alarms, i wake up, turn it off and go back to sleep again.. after 20-30 minutes i wake up to realize that i've fallen asleep..- and that i'm late! Sometimes, because of habit i guess, before my cellphone even alarms, i turn it off..lol and then do back to sleep..

I used to do this when I was living in a house several months ago.. I had no choice. I had no clock to see by. So, I had to use my cell phone as an alarm clock. But, it was a very old cell phone.. I ended up throwing it away..

I use my cell phone as an alarm clock sometimes. I have a regular alarm clock for the house but I don't really know how to use it.
