Do you really love youself?

How I wish I will be like Drew Barrymore! That's what I always said to myself and to others. I don't like being me... brown skin complexion, 5"3' tall, average in English, not shiny hair, chubby, few boys courting, few pairs of dress, not good in cumputer, etc. I don't want to attend parties because I don't look pretty in my dress. How I wish I can have a "Drew-look-a-like!
But when I understand the reality of God creating man in His image, I learned to slowly like myself. I realize I'm unique and special. God has a great plan for me. Someday, a right boy will love me as me because God has someone for me. From that moment on, I learned to improve my self-esteem. The dream of becoming like Drew Barrymore was replaced by loving and accepting who I am.
Do you feel the same as I do? Cheer up! You are special to God, the Creator of humankind. He has something great for. Just try to appreciate what is in you.

I am not perfect.I am not always happy with how I look.but,I have accepted the fact that this is me,love it or hate it.I may not have perfect face,but that's ok.I am happy because even if I look the way I am,I still get lovely compliments.case in point:my female friends like my feet.I hate my feet because they're too big for my height (I stand 5'5",with feet size of US 9/Asian size:10).they said my feet look great with wedge shoes.

Yes, I definitely love myself but not because God created me. I love myself because I am proud of myself. Whenever I see myself in the mirror and I analyse myself, the feeling of love for myself rises in me automatically, it surges within me. And that feeling is very good and I have learnt that it is possible to love other people only if first, one starts loving oneself.

Before, I had same thinking as you but as time goes by I realized that I must like and love myself. Sometimes we tend to envy other people because we think they are more special than us. They have a very good figure, an attractive look, a fair complexion, a very talented personality. However, we tend to forget that God has given has special quality also that we tend to underestimate because we are so discontent.Learn to appreciate ourselves, that's most of us forget sometimes.There maybe lots of people who are talented than we are but remember that God created us in His own image. We should learn to love and appreciate ourself. Discover our strengths and try to overcome our weaknesses.
