OS:Original or threaded?

There a number of operating systems available....original nad threade alike...original gives you a sense of security..while the threaded os offers a lot of softwares...drivers and good features of many os....so wats your choice..come tell me

original or threaded? what are you talking about? Original as in not pirated? if so what does it have to do with security? Threaded as in multithreading? Why do you think they have more software and drivers?

my dear you dont know abt threading???....ya multithreading is there but on a different level......they take all the good features from the other os and combine them together...by original i mean xp,vista....and by threaded have you ever heard of black xp...??i'm using it currently...

You mean a customized XP edition. It's great if you install on many computers, it installs all drivers and a lot of programs, but for my computer a prefer a clean copy, my drivers. Then either install Vista Transformation Pack, or just a theme then get the new versions of the programs i use.

Well being a computer engineering student and that too a very creative one (hey i'm not praising myself,thats what every1 says) I'd obviously prefer a threaded OS. You said that the original (or the non-threaded one's) provide security, but i dont think they provide what i expect. Even an antivirus software does not provide protection against all the viruses. And so I'll say a threaded OS, which will have all the qualities that i want will be much more preferred by me than a non-threaded(original, as u say.) one. Speaking of a lot of softwares, it is always all about need, a threaded OS should have a lot of softwares but I should be given complete control of installing them. Nice discussion karthiksank642.
