What should the relationship between a teacher and a student be like?

i find that in most schools and colleges a lot of romance starts between a teacher and a student and often the students are exploited by teachers both sexually and also they are forced to take tutions from the teachers to score good marks. If it is true romance then one can still understand, but if it is exploitation thenit is really sad. it is a shame that teachers who are supposed to the role model for students stoop to such low levels that they exploit the very student who looks up to them. Some students do not speak up and suffer in silence for fear of reprisal.

I think the relationship between student and teacher should remain as such student and teacher. Once the relationship changes then things are changed. Student would then feel offended when they get a bad mark or something and teach er get offended if student doesn't come to class, disrupt class etc.

I think it's like parents with their child. The school likes family... there are parents/teachers and childs/students
