Which do you prefer to wear most of the time? Going to work, I wear a snekers. When I got to my working station, I change my outside clothes to my OR/DR uniform and OR/DR flipflops. I'm a nurse and being part of the OR/DR department in the hospital, protocols should be observed like changing outside clothes to more cleaner uniform and not expose to dirt outside. That way we maintain the sterility of the area for our patient and staff protection aswell. But I'm more comfortable wearing flipflops and my feet can breathe unlike wearing sneakers with or without socks, I felt that my feet wants to breakfree even when I tie the shoestrings not too loose and not too tight. I like wearing flipflops when going to the mall or visiting a friend to their house that way I can remove my flipflop and sit comfortably like indian sit. But of course wearing sneakers can be comfortable too especially when I'm enganged into sports activity or hiking and having a long walk to a rocky road. So how about you mylotters, what do you like to wear more often? You are free to share your thought! Thanks much...

Hi anne, it mostly depends on where and when I’m. I wear the indoor slipper when staying at home. I would in discomfort walking on the cold floor with barefoot. While doing weeding and watering in the courtyard I like to put on a pair of old flat shoes which could keep my feet comfortable and clean as well away from the wet soil. I would like to wear casual leather fat shoes while going out for shopping or hanging around in the mall. I dislike wearing flip flops as I feel it’s more relaxing and comfortable to walk with casual shoes. Anyway wearing shoes could keep my feet from getting dust. I prefer to put sneakers when go for vacation or have long walk or to go for mountain hiking. I’m quite scared to put on new shoes as they would make blisters on my heels. I find only good quality shoes won’t give me such trouble. Anyway I always try not to put on new sneakers while having long distance travelling. Happy posting and have a nice day.

Oh I see anne, from your description I come to learn that a responsible nurse should always keep herself clean by changing cleaner uniform and shoes as well in her department when on duty, so you don’t carry any dust as well as the harmful germs from outside to the sterility area for the sake of the hygiene and safety of the patients as well as the staffs there. You are right, when wearing unaired shoes for hours long we are always keen to let our feet to breathe freely again by shift to flip flog, slippers or even barefoot. There is no any office regulation to restrict a staff to put on certain type of shoes as long as the foot wears look decently. So we could put on any types of shoes, of course they have to match the clothes we wear. Thanks for the best response and wish you all the best.

It depends. Singapore is very hot so flip flops are more comfortable. However, I recently tore my foot ligament and sneakers are better for my condition.

Here is Utah we have hot summers and cold snowy winters, therefore I choose my shoe depending on the season. For the hot summer I always wear the flip flop. I find flip flops very comfortable, very cool, and obviously very convenient. In the winter I wear my sneakers or my boots. I don't own any boots right now so I guess it will be sneakers this winter. Gotta keep my tootsies warm :)

hi anne12d i like flipflops more than sneakers. although i like sneakers, my feet do not like being confined. they are claustrophobic ;-) i heard from somewhere that flipflops can sometime cause strain on the feet. right now, i am trying to be a good girl and wear sneakers or any normal pair of shoes. take care and have a nice day!

Thanks for sharing Rainegurl! Hmmm... I guess when you walk through a rough road and become clumpsy, anyone can get strain . as long as you are comfortable with the pair of shoes you're wearing... That's fine!

I prefer wearing flip flops, i just love them. I have ipanema and havaianas and other brands. I don't know with me but i just love slippers. Although i have a few sneakers here but i seldom use :( because wearing a pair of slippers for me is more comfy and lets my feet breathe out.
