is it when he/she makes you laugh on his/her jokes?? is it when he/she listens to you when you have problems??
i knew many persons in my life but of course not all of them are my friends.. i can only say that they are my friends if and only if, i can trust them on my secrets and will never break my trust to them..

Well, just like love, if you like some person, and you have feeling that she/he is honest, then you can trust her/him. If you treat other people honestly, it is more likely that other people would treat you honestly too... About the secrets, if I were you, I would keep some secreat to myself without sharing, people talks, no matter how nice they are .

the answer to your query is very easy.
its your life and you are the only one who can decide that who is your friend and who is not.
its simple to find out, just close your eyes and suppose that you are happy, very happy. who is the person beside you at that time? suppose mr.x, now think because of whose effort you are happy, let us say he is mr.y.
here both mr.x & mr.y are your friend, but actually you are mr.x friend, while he may treat you as his friend. on the other hand mr.y takes you as his friend, and might be you are not treating him as your friend.
so here both are your friend but differently.
its quite confusing na...
now you are adult and who else than you know whats good for you & decide wisely who's who's friend...
