These are difficult financial times ,with the world on the brink of recession. Many companies are laying off persons and labour riots are now happening even in China. Now china up until a couple months ago was growing at ten percent per anum. What if the company that you worked for came to you and says we are facing hard times and these are the options ,accept a pay cut and we will save ten jobs among them your friend or you may get a slight pay increase and we cut your friends job.Granted you may have to do your friends job as well as your own? Would you accept the pay increase on the grounds that it cant hurt to have extra cash in these trying times.Or would you decline and take the pay increase and not know when the tables may turn and your job may be on the line ?. What would you do ?

Inthis day and age with the difficult times,it is the survival of the fittest.you should have never been put in this situation in the first place charity begins at home. You have to survive buy the kids what they need and have enough money to pay your own bills and from what I have experienced though the years, look after your own first. If you were to work for less and did not have enough money tolive on what good would it do, fortunately in this country we have a good income support system and no one starves anymore .Rent paid , poll tax paid and free school meals not ideal but sometimes get more than people working,I would look at my family first.ultimately it is up to you ,but yours must come first and I think there are many people having to make difficult decisions at the moment. You have to ask yourself would they do it for you if the chips were down.good luck to any body in this awful position.xx
