desktop because: 1. faster (hardisks & optical drives) 2. easier to upgrade 3. easier and cheaper to repair

I have a desktop right now but I would prefer to buy a notebook soon. Thats because notebooks are becoming as fast as desktops, they are portable, they save a lot of space, electricity bills are reduced and many other reasons.

i'm using a notebook at home. it allows me to be mobile. i can get connected and use my computer anywhere in the house, on my bed, on the couch, in front of the tv, on the living room, at the dining table, the patio..etc..

I have both desktop and notebook. For me, I would go for notebook because it is very convenient. I can bring it whenever I go. I can use it whenever I want to sit and play with it inside our house. That's more advantage with the notebook compare to desktop.

Both have their uses and are functional when need be. Why choose, have both!

I like the keyboards on a desktop computer better then the keyboards on a notebook computer. Notebook computers are much more convenient but they're not always guaranteed connection like a desktop computer usually is.

i prefer notebook computers for their mobility purpose... I do travel a lot for my work & I can't always be tied to my desk at home... A lot of notebook computers now a days have decent hard drives & speed, at least for me, they're fast enough...

I think both has their own specialties. If it is only used at home, I would choose desktop. Desktop is more stable in performance, it is more customizable, and it is so much cheaper than having a laptop. You would be able to upgrade it per part, and you can make your own pc according to your budget. But for mobility, I prefer notebook. If I often go outside and do my work in the field, I think laptop is more useful. So, I think for performance I would prefer desktop, and for mobility I prefer laptop.
