Color red to a funeral?

I attended a funeral and there was a woman there with a red and black dress on. Alot of people mentioned how inappropriate it was that she wore red. It was a nice dress and modest. It was mostly red. Is this a no no in funeral etiquite?

That is stupid. I know the custom about wearing black, and I do it myself... but what does it really matter? She was there showing her respect and grief, so who cares what color she was wearing? at least she wasnt walking around with her boobs hanging out.

lol...I agree with that...it was a nice and modest dress but for some reason it did cause an uproar among the other people in the family.
